We have the skills to design and lay pathways and driveways in a variety of different materials and styles. From tarmac, to block paving, to brick, to concrete, to gravel – we do it all! Tarmac is the most popular choice with customers in and around Horley. This is largely because it is relatively inexpensive, hard wearing and requires little maintenance.
Block paving is also becoming increasingly popular with our clients as it offers greater visual appeal. It requires more maintenance and costs more than tarmac, but many of our customers in Horley and its surrounding areas consider this to be a small price to pay for the added curb appeal that it offers.
Do you want an outside space with lots of interesting details and textures, or something with simple, clean lines? If you want lots of detail then we recommend that one of our patios will be a better choice for you, as paving lends itself to this kind of work. On the other hand, if you like a more minimal feel then decking is great for this. Please get in touch for more information.
We can supply all your fencing and posts. We believe that the strength of fencing lies very much in the quality of its supporting posts. When putting up a fence, we like to use 3 x 3 inch posts made from either pressure-treated or rot-resistant wood, which we set in with either metal or concrete post supports to ensure that your fence stays standing and lasts a long time.
We recommend treating the fencing with a wood preservative every three to four years to further protect it from rotting. The process of putting up your fence will take between one and two days.
We consider turfing to be an art form that requires a great deal of skill to produce a high quality product. The turf we use is cultivated, intensively managed, purpose-grown and matured to exacting standards by experts, from the finest grass seed available. This ensures that our landscaping experts use only the best turf for lawns in and around Horley. The purpose of cutting grass is not only to stop it from overgrowing; the aim is to keep the grass short enough to be pleasing to the eye, while keeping it long enough to prevent the roots from starving. Regular and proper mowing reduces the risk of weed and leaf growth, as well as increasing the effectiveness of fertilisers and thickening the grass to give you a healthier lawn.
A beautifully maintained hedge can enhance the look of your garden, but an unruly hedge can ruin it. To keep your hedge looking beautiful, we offer hedge trimming and cutting services, either as a one-off job, or on an on-going contractual basis.
